TOURNAMENT DATES

U11 & U12 AGE GROUP (BOYS & GIRLS)
The tournament will take place on the 7th, 8th & 9th of October 2022.

Times will be as follows:
Match Day 1&2: 08h00 to 18h00
Match Day 3: 08h00 to 15h00

VENUES & HOCKEY

We will be centralizing fixtures so that teams play at the same venue for 3 days to limit the movement of participants and are looking at the following venues:

• U12 Boys – Springs Indoor Sports Centre (home of the Quaggas)

• U12 Girls – Woodlands International College

• U11 Boys – Cliffview Primary School

• U11 Girls – Fourways High School

If we have a B Section in a specific section(s) they will be played at either Dainfern College or Ashton Benoni.
As per previous Nationals we will guarantee a minimum of 8 matches over the 3 days.
Each Section will have their own prize giving at their venue at 14h30 on Day 3.

ACCOMMODATION

To create a tour feeling, we will prefer the players to stay as a team at the Morningside Sandton, but this will be optional.

IN and Check OUT on the following dates:
Check In: All day Thursday 6 October 2022
Check Out: Afternoon Sunday 9 October.

TRANSPORT DURING THE EVENT FOR INCOMING TEAMS

Transport will be by Tulana Transport as per previous years between Hotel and Venue as well as Social outings. Transport is included in Tour fees - players can also come by transport from Pretoria (Brooklyn Hockey & Sport club) to Morningside Hotel.

FOOD AND DRINK

Breakfast

The accommodation price includes breakfast.
Lunches

Participants need to purchase their own lunches. There will be an adequate tuck shop or vendor at every venue.
Suppers
Depending on program – at Hotel or Take Away outing, so will be determined once program is published.
 

KIT

Kit can be fitted and ordered at the pre-trial practices 3, 4, 10, 11, 14 Aug. Deadline for orders: Sunday 28 August 2022. Playing kit is obliged (shirt R280; bottoms R250; socks R100) - the rest is optional. Kit is still the same as previous years. Kit order form to follow.

COVID 19 REQUIREMENTS

PSI will comply with the requirements that will be stipulated by Government. Based on the alert level prior to Nationals, we will be given a detailed document on the necessary rules and regulations.

The work that goes into training and selecting is massive – every change has a domino effect, so please only enter if you are dedicated on participating.

33% (R1500 deposit amount) if withdrawn after trials week 1
50% (R2250) per person withdrawn up to 31 Aug
75% (R3375) per person withdrawn up to 14 Sep
100% (R4500) per person withdrawn after 14 Sep up to tour date
