PSI Exhibition match
The opening ceremony of the u11/12 North National PSI was full of entertainment. Starting with fun little competitions for the Players leading up to the big exhibition match. Belgotex Brave Hearts verse Spar Super Heroes. Each team had noticeable names but Tshwane titans were quite biased in who we supported as the Brave Hearts had our hearts with 4 of our very own coaches playing. Dario Lourenco, CG Odendaal, Richard Porter and Steven Paulo all impressed ,reminding us why they are the best, showing off their skills an sportsmanship.

Mini Hockey day
Hockey Company Tshwane hosted its first mini hockey day on the 24th of September. The day started early with games beginning at 8am. Kids from all over Pretoria came to participate in our action filled day. Although the heat was beating down on us the day continued with happy players getting the chance to showcase their skills in front of their parents. With fun filled competitiveness and our young players gaining a better understanding of the game the day was a great success.

Boithabiso stars make us proud
5 Boys from our development program at Sunnyside Primary have made their respective Northern Primary Provincial hockey teams for 2022.
Promise, Calvin and Samukelo made the u12 B-team; Freddy made the u12A team; and Mosa made the u13B team.
These boys have been enjoying near daily training by various of our coaches at our skills venue at Brooklyn Hockey and Sport Club.
We have also provided transport to get them to-and from their provincial trainings at PBHS and Hs Waterkloof, also with the help of team members’ parents. We managed to fully kit the boys from hockey community donated kit.
Their NBPH stick bags were sponsored by the Union for Jewish women and
Ritual Hockey also donated 4 full size hockey sticks to be raffled to raise funds. The proceeds of a Skills Clinic hosted by Hockey company Tshwane on 17 June will assist in funding the tour for these valuable players.
This just shows what is possible when we all work together towards a greater good.
These boys are making us super proud. We are extremely happy to have played a role in giving these wonderful boys a chance to showcase their talent on a bigger stage. We are sure that there is much more to come from these rising superstars, and we are excited to be a part of their journey.

Development with the Tshwane University of Technology
This project takes us, The Hockey Company Tshwane, back to where it all began... back to the core reason we do what we do.
The vision of our company has always been to make hockey accessible to all. We have decided that that the best way to do this, is to take the sport to the people. However, in order to accomplish this, we need more feet on the ground. This is where TUT comes in...
We have partnered up with TUT's Department of Sport Science and Biokinetics. Their students completed a basic hockey skills course that was facilitated by the company. We supplied them with all the gear needed to play and also taught them the game. This will be followed up by a SAHA accredited level 0 course (once they understand the rudiments of the game).
Once that phase of the project is complete, the newly equipped students will assist us in making the Boithabiso Outreach Program a reality. We will be visiting areas in Soshanguve, Mamelodi, Atteridgeville and Hammanskraal and taking hockey to the kids there; teaching them how to play the sport that we all love so much! We hope that this will be the start of a new path to get hockey on the right path to transformation.
